Venus in Eros Movie Trailer

Remember this movie starring 7 members from Libera? The movie trailer is out now :D!! Thank you, Jimmy Riddle, for the news and link. This was filmed last year, because as you can see that some of the current boys now still looked young back then. Even former members, Mini James and Freddie were there. According to Yuki, she said that the director of this movie (and translator for Libera's Japan tours), Takako Imai, was gonna be shown in Japan in April but it didn't happen due to some problems. Good news for everyone! The movie will be released on 20th October 2012. Hooray for all Japanese fans. Hope it'll be shown in your countries soon. And thank you, Yuki, for telling us this wonderful news :).

Libera's Blog: Jersey and Guernsey pt 2

Just check my Twitter this morning and I saw that Libera posted part 2 of their blog. This time talking about their trip to Guernsey. For those who haven't read the blog, click here. This looks like an interesting blog. It has more photos and lots of activities they do there, besides the concert alone. He he! Well, they always have free time on tours, do they? :) Anyhow, I just want to say something about this sentence:-

"After checking in, we explored the field, playing a huge game of hide and seek and 40-40 home."

I heard of hide-and-seek before but I never heard of 40-40 home. Does anyone heard of this game before?
The rest you gotta read from the blog. Happy reading :).

Cutie Michael U-R playing hide-and-seek in the fields. He he! Love his "shhh" sign.

The boys playing chess (again). Who's winning now?

St James concert.

The boys enjoying the inflatable gladiator things. At least that's what they called. Love Matt M here.

Jude the Archer. Go, Jude :D!!

Playing football. Guess which team won? Kavana's team :D!! *audience clapping*

More free time I presume. Sounds like fun.

That's all about their summer tour reviews at Channel Islands. I hope they had a fun time there. And also to the fans who went for their concerts. One last question: Will there be official photos from this tour?

More Photos From Jersey and Guernsey

Martin, a Libera fan from Germany, has been to all the 4 concerts in Channel Islands, mainly Jersey and Guernsey. He has also bring back some photos from the concerts and they are quite excellent and good too. Thank you, Martin, for your lovely photos. I hope you don't mind if I post them to my blog. If you want to share them to any of your sites, please credit him.

Happy festive season of Raya to all Malay out there. I hope you have a good time with your relatives at your home town. Well, let's not go to that any further. He he. The topic for today is about Libera. What always comes after every tours and concerts? *drum rolls* The blog reviews, of course :)!! Those who guessed it right wins the prize. Even I do that after coming back from overseas.
Yes, Libera has just wrote a blog about their summer tour over the Channel Islands. Click here to read more.

The boys rehearsing for the concerts. Nice close up with Michael U-R :). I think I'm beginning to like him.

Adrian playing chess. Looks like he's winning.

Cassius, all alone in the fields in Durrell zoo.

Libera on the beach. What are they hunting for? :)

Okay, that raps up for today's blog. Keep an eye out for part 2, guys.

More Photos From Guernsey

Wowee! More photos overload from Guernsey concerts. Ha ha!! Bullehynka from France went to both nights at Guernsey and has shared with us a few of her photos. Merci beaucoup :). I love them.

Message For Philippines

Many of us have heard about the terrible flood in the Philippines, especially Manila. Even Libera too heard about it. And this is what they said in their FB page:-

"We are greatly saddened by the news of the terrible rains and loss of life in Manila.. We have many good friends in the Philippines and our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this sad time."

Our prayers go to you, Philippines. And to all my lovely Filipino friends over there who were affected by the flood. Stay safe. God bless you all.

Guernsey Concert (2)

Finally, Libera's summer tour is almost over. I hope the audience love the two concerts there and hope the boys too enjoyed their summer at Channel Islands. Will there be official photos from them?
Anyways, here's another excellent photo by our very own Japanese friend, Yuki. Arigato :). And best of all, also thanks to the others who too shared their own photos, video clips and reviews from the concert.

Guernsey Concert (1)

Update (today: 9:53 pm): Here's a review from Johan of the Yahoo AV Group of his concert experience in Guernsey. Thanks for sharing, Johan :).

The venue of the Libera concerts in Guernsey is St.James' Hall. It is not very big, but a beautiful former church, which is easily recognisable as such. Attached to it is a new building which houses several facilities. Compared to Arundel there were no new names in Libera, apart from the older boys returning, but I still cannot match names with faces of some of the younger boys. As was reported from Jersey by others, the programm was the same as in Arundel, apart from Faithful heart in stead of Do not stand. Yet for me it was a completely different concert
Even the start, although the same songs, was different. Jubilate was started solo by Matthew R.A., who was then joined by Thomas and the rest of the group. After the transition from Jubilate into Libera Eoghan and Luke formed a duo of soloists.
After this Ben and Cassius did the introduction and welcome.
As Ralph is not here the solo of the Song of life fell to Isaac. Sometimes a little hesitant he did a good job of it.
While the front row of boys was kneeled, Eoghan did the solo of Sanctissima, excellent as always.
Next was Sanctus for which Matthew Jansen did the solo. I know others praised his performance on other occasions, but for me it was now that he came really into the picture. It was beautiful.
After this Cassius and Michael U.R. introduced Moose.
Next I vow to Thee, with Matthew Jansen and Dyllan and Thomas in front. An excellent performance.
In absence of Stefan and Ralph Eternal Light was for Jude with assistance of Thomas. They did a pretty good job, but have to gain some experience yet.
Salva me was done by the whole group with the hoods on. Beautifully done, but I could not see who did what.
Next Jude introduced the musicians and Rob.
Then the eagerly awaited Faithful heart with Josh as principal soloist, but supported for the harmonies by Matthew Jansen, Thomas and Dyllan. It was indeed wonderful with Josh starting off as a light tenor but later gong into the baritone range. The voices of Josh and especially Matthew blended perfectly.
Next was Exsultate, which is always an uplifting song. Thomas was the soloist again, this boy was seen often in front this evening.
After this they suddenly disappeared from the stage and there was the interval.
After the interval Eoghan started with his now known solo of Attendite, after which the group did the Orinoco flow, devided into five groups. It was a nice and crisp performance.
Than Gloria, one of my favorite songs. In Arundel I was a bit disappointed, but this time it was beautiful. I think overall the sound was much better balanced here than it was in Arundel, where it was often just too loud.
Then Michael and Cassius explained about the clothes and the hoods.
After which Matthew Jansen and Thomas were the soloists in The Fountain and very well they did it too. These two boys were the centre of the whole concert, nearly every song one or both of them were involved in some special role.
Dies Irae had a surprise for me. A beautiful solo by Ciaran. He was good!!! Nothing more to say, come to hear him tonight, there are still tickets.
Grateful heart was next and duo'd by Thomas D.L and Michael U.R..
Stay with me had Cassius up front but he did not really do a solo, apart from a few lines at the end. Matthew R.A. did the discounts as usual.
Then Josh explained about voices and voice change after which he moved to the piano for the next song. Up to then the piano had been played by Steven G. if he was not playing the clarinet or recorder.
That next song was Ave verum which ended in th V formation with Jacob and Tiarnan up front, and Matthew still hidden from view for the high notes.
Far away was for Isaac, but not as convincing as he was in Arundel.
Glory to Thee an excellent performance of Eoghan. He is a class performer and under used, maybe he does not want too many solos?
After this Ben explained about the little ones, who were not present this time of course and announced the last song saying farewell
The last song was How shall I sing that Majesty with an excellent solo of Eoghan without the support of Stefan this time.
All in all a very nice concert.

Johan

Another successful concert at Guernsey. The songs and soloists are the same from the two Jersey concerts. And Patrick, Yorkie and Yuki shared with us some of their amazing photos. Thanks so much, guys. You're fantastic! Please credit them btw.

The first one is a short video clip by Julia and Sara, and the second one is a slideshow done by James Philip from Germany. Thank you, guys, for the lovely videos.

Jersey Concert (2)

Looks like there is a storm of good reviews from the fans who went to Jersey for the concert (s). I guess everybody will say the same comment such as "Amazing!", "Spectacular!", "I'm speechless" etc. The songs and choristers are the same from the Jersey Concert (1) post. So I won't touch on that. Here are some photos from Dani. Hope she doesn't mind if I borrow her pics. Please credit her name if you wish to borrow them.

Missing were Ralph, Stefan, Barney, Carlos and Oscar. Sam L was also missing because he was playing the cello. Maybe for a concert or something. No news about Alex's and Liam's absence. Aww, I was sad when Liam wasn't at the concert :'((. It's either he left Libera or he's busy.
According to Yuki and Lucy, RP did not played the keyboard or piano this time but only conducted the boys. But good news! JOSH IS PLAYING THE KEYBOARD!! Woo hoo. Singing and playing an instrument at the same time. Plus he also got a solo in Faithful Heart.  Multitask. Haha. Happy happy days for all Josh fans out there :)))).

There was no M&G after the concert but they sell signed and unsigned programs, plus Libera CDs.
Can't wait for tomorrow's concert.
